FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RangeGuard- Burn Prevention Device Awarded U.S. Patent Approval
- receives national attention in TWINS Magazine - in support
of February National Burn Prevention Month.
Proudly made in the Pioneer
Valley of Western Massachusetts
Agawam, Massachusetts February 14, 200 - RangeGuard Industries,
Inc. today announced the RangeGuard has received two U.S.
Patents and has been featured in TWINS Magazine in the support
of National Burn Prevention Month during February. The RangeGuard
is designed to prevent a child from touching the burners or
pulling a pot off the range. According to the Massachusetts
Department of Fire Services Office of the State Fire Marshal
- cooking was the second leading cause of structure fire deaths
in 1998 - representing 19% of the 59 people who died. The
Double wall metal construction - and special Velcro fastener
- provides safety that every parent needs in their home.
Each year thousands of young curious children are seriously
burned from range related accidents. They reach up to discover
new things and suffer contact burns or severe scalding from
hot liquids and oils. These burns are intensely painful, can
cause permanent scarring and could be preventable. It takes
only a few seconds for a child to make a dangerous reach for
range-top items and no parent is able to keep a constant watch
on their child, as much as they try. The RangeGuard was developed
by a concerned father who wanted to help children stay safe.
With his own grandchildren in mind, the inventor set-out to
develop a barrier that would promote safer kitchens around
the world.
Many years of research and development have been invested
to insure the RangeGuard provides the highest level of safety
- yet is durable and attractive in all kitchens. Dual walls
allow air to circulate through the hollow inner core, resulting
in a heat-resistant finish that will last for years. This
design also keeps outer surfaces warm enough to alert curious
fingers to danger, but not hot enough to burn. The sturdy
welded corner hinges and Velcro fasteners can withstand up
to 15 pounds of downward pulling pressure, yet the RangeGuard
can be easily removed. The baked enamel finish blends in with
existing decor, and wipes clean with a damp sponge. Best of
all the RangeGuard requires no tools for installation, and
comes with a lifetime warranty.
Proudly made in the USA by dedicated Massachusetts Craftsmen,
the RangeGuard has been reviewed by fire marshals, safety
experts and professionals in hospital burn centers. All agreed
that this preventive mechanism could help dramatically decrease
the number of burn victims they treat each year. While public
officials cannot publicly endorse a product on the market,
everyone who reviewed The RangeGuard wanted one for their
own homes or for someone they knew who had small children.
It takes a few moments to install a RangeGuard, but only seconds
for tragedy to strike. The RangeGuard is now available at
www.rangeguard.com or by calling Toll Free RangeGuard - 887-726-4348
- 9am - 5pm EST.
